Title: Digital Health Interventions in the field- Research Culture and Practice at Ayogo
Abstract: Ayogo Health Inc. is a digital health company that builds software to support patients with chronic illnesses in making better, and better-informed, decisions as they go about self-managing their conditions. This talk describes the theoretical underpinnings that inform Ayogo’s work, before showcasing interventions in three domains: HIV, type 2 diabetes, and childhood obesity. From web analytics to social cognitive theory to randomised controlled trials, this talk gives an overview of research culture and practice at Ayogo.

Dr. Clare Hooper works as Research Lead at Ayogo Health Inc. Her remit includes everything from coordination of user testing and market research through to collaboration with clinicians and academics running randomised controlled trials to evaluate Ayogo's interventions. Clare is a computer and web scientist who earned her doctorate with the University of Southampton.
